Turning AI breakthroughs into factory-floor reality.

// about

About Me

I was a 90s kid who grew up watching science fiction, fascinated by worlds where technology could do things that seemed impossible. I’ve always loved the idea of what could be—and the curiosity to figure out how to make it happen. Looking back, perhaps it’s no surprise that I found my way into IT, AI, and innovation. Today, I get to bring a little of that futuristic thinking into the real world.

At Procter & Gamble’s Kronberg Innovation Center, I lead the scaling of manufacturing AI across a global plant network—connecting factory-floor challenges with data science, IT, and engineering to turn promising pilots into solutions that work in production.

I’m fascinated by the technology, but even more by what makes innovation stick: solving the right problems, building reusable solutions, bringing cross-functional teams together, and empowering people to carry ideas forward themselves.

Beyond technology, I’m a curious lifelong learner who enjoys teaching, building teams, and turning ambitious goals into tangible results.

I’m a planner with a bias for action. I like turning ideas into plans and plans into progress. But life rarely follows a perfect roadmap. When things don’t go to plan, I adapt, learn, and keep moving. I’m an optimist about detours; sometimes, what feels like a setback leads somewhere even better than we had imagined.

I’m also a strategic thinker who likes to roll up my sleeves and get things done. I enjoy seeing the bigger picture while figuring out the practical steps to make it happen. And I believe the best ideas rarely succeed in isolation—they need people who challenge one another, share knowledge, and bring out the best in each other. For me, that’s where strategy turns into progress: when good ideas meet good people and the willingness to make things happen.

Case Studies

Most industrial AI dies in "pilot purgatory." Here is how I turn isolated lab experiments into self-sustaining production systems across 18+ global sites.

01 · Ongoing · Agentic AI · Global scale-up

Smart Self-Improving Lines: scaling one fix to many lines, in parallel

38%of common failures, across 8 problems
$500Kper labeller instance, 20+ lines
The goal
Take proven solutions for our most common losses from one line to many lines in parallel. Single-line fixes stay hard-coded and specific, so we bucketed the top losses into two scalable themes: auto-centerline closed loop and equipment performance.
The numbers
8 common problems (labellers, filling, capping, glue and more) that account for 38% of common failures. Labellers alone scale to 20+ lines at about $500K per instance; pilot and demo lines set the exact average value per instance before scale-up.
How I did it
Run a pilot and a demo line per problem, then capture the solution in a Common Best Approach (CBA) template for fast reapplication. An LLM agent, the AI Use-Case Finder, helps sites find the right use case and hands them the CBA: team charter, inputs and outputs, model artifacts.
Why it mattered
These are the biggest shared sources of loss across the network, so every reapplied solution compounds value instead of starting from zero.
Timeline
Started in June 2025 (FY26). All lead lines and CBAs are in place; next is parallel reapplication across lines and sites.

Lesson learned “A pilot isn't a product until someone else can run it without you. Write the playbook while the knowledge is still fresh.”

Anomaly detection: the foundation for unattended operations

$5.8Msavings opened by the first project
15use cases on one standard
The goal
Build an anomaly-detection portfolio as the foundation for unattended operations, so teams intervene at the right moment on problems such as nozzle degradation, motors and mills, and moulding, without needing labelled failure data.
The numbers
The first project detected a mill anomaly behind heavy scrap and opened $5.8M in savings. The portfolio now runs 15 use cases on one standard approach, including moulding defects flagged within 24 hours of deployment.
How I did it
Started the portfolio with several easy-to-use tools, including an off-the-shelf unsupervised app on Siemens Industrial Edge, to drive adoption with operators. I own the deployment approach and coach site teams, who build and run their own projects.
Why it mattered
Unplanned stops and scrap stand between today's lines and unattended operations; operators need early, trustworthy signals to act on.

Lesson learned “When failures are rare, stop waiting for labels. Teach the model what normal looks like and let it tell you when something isn't.”

AI-X: low-code MLOps from data-science laptop to factory machine

90 → 30days from model to deployment
18+use cases deployed across sites & BUs
The goal
Remove the deployment bottleneck: give data scientists and engineers a low-code way to package any ML model for Siemens Industrial Edge, and to redeploy after every retrain without starting over.
The numbers
Cut model-to-deployment time from 90 to 30 days; 18+ use cases deployed through AI-X across multiple sites and business units.
How I did it
Mapped which parts of the Edge SDK change per model and built a model-agnostic skeleton with a staged CI/CD pipeline (Azure ML, GitHub Actions, Power Apps), pytest tests, SonarQube and IT compliance review. Shipped in agile sprints and drove adoption through dedicated enablement sessions of about 20 people each, run within the WISE Coach Qualification.
Why it mattered
Packaging, not model building, was slowing AI adoption, and every retrain restarted the manual work.
Timeline
First version built during my master thesis (2023–24); production release in June 2024, completed in January 2025.

Lesson learned “Automate the part everyone repeats, not the part everyone notices.”

WISE Coach Qualification (WCQ): turning plant teams into local AI builders

$9Mvalue from 19 use cases
4.7/5participant rating, every session
The goal
Build local AI capability in every region (North America, Latin America, Asia and Europe) so plant teams can find, build and own AI use cases instead of relying on one central team.
The numbers
207 people qualified in 4 sessions last fiscal year, delivering 19 use cases worth $9M, with ratings above 4.7 out of 5 in every session. This fiscal year: 10 sessions planned with at least 20 participants each.
How I did it
Mapped capability across Python, JMP and SmartBox and designed a hands-on qualification in which teams reach MVP and feasibility, then coached them on to PoC and pilot. I lead the program end-to-end.
Why it mattered
Central teams don't scale; local owners do. Every qualified practitioner becomes a builder on their own line.
Timeline
3 days to MVP and feasibility within the qualification; 30–90 days to PoC and pilot.

Lesson learned “Great technology writes the pilot; empowered local teams write the scale.”
